Infertility is not an illness in most of the cases but is rather a low chance of pregnancy of a couple. There are many therapies for infertility but just few of them are effective because they don't remove the cause of infertility most of the times. The lower chance of pregnancy can be caused by female factors, male factors and most commonly by a combination of them. With treatments we increase the chance of pregnancy of a couple but seldom we can correct the cause of infertility. Our patients are often informed on new therapies but we have the skills to read and understand the scientific literature, to participate to international meetings, to read the guidelines of scientific committees and to be involved in large international clinical trials. We select the best evidences and we apply them to our practice.
